So, I never got a phone interview... I am in lost of words right now...
For those who need to vent or just need a friend.. i'm here...
I was brought up in two different types of Christianity.. Catholic and Baptist. My mother was Catholic and my father was Baptist. So, I got the best of both worlds..
From kindergarten to second grade, I went to a Catholic church every Sunday and private school. Sacred Heart in Stamford, Connecticut to be exact.. Man, my Catholic school days were interesting from what I remember...
I had to wear the school suit everyday. Read bible verses every other day. First communion. The Noah's Ark play. Nuns were my teachers...
Off tangent, speaking of teacher nuns, I will never forget Sister Josephine. Once a upon a time in kindergarten, I had to use the bathroom really REALLY bad. Sitting front row, I had my hand raised, waving it and all to go to the bathroom, but Sister Josephine told me it wasn't time for bathroom breaks. At the time, I couldn't believe it because the next bathroom break was an hour! Then I thought, bathroom breaks? Are you kidding? Ugh, after five minutes, I couldn't hold it in... ONE of the most embarrassing moments of my life... Truly scarred for life.
Moving pass that phase, when my family and I moved to Colorado, school life wasn't as strict as it was when I was back east. I got to wear my JNCO jeans and Tommy Hilfiger sweaters. Girls were a lot more amazing. I was free bird.
Somewhere around 15-16 years old, I was exposed to my father's religion called Baptist. We started going to Faith Baptist Church and I started going to Sunday school.. What was weird to me at the time was that the kids that were in that class were kids that actually went to that private school, so they kept talking about all these things about the bible and such, and I looked like a tool and had no clue what they were talking about. When it came to the actual Sunday class, I remember hoping that the teacher didn't pick me because I would look like a dumb ass if I said anything.
Since I was 18 years old, I went on to college and haven't really gone to church since. I actually went to this modern Christian Church once and I felt like I was in one of those cheesy infomercials. It just didn't feel right...
With these in mind, I feel like I've learned a lot about Christianity. Even though, I couldn't say, "I am Catholic" or "I am Baptist," I think it's safe to say, "I am Christian," even though I've lacked it for a while.. Right?
Anyway, I am just rambling on... I'll stop here.
