getting personal

So about my family...this could take forever. I have a mom and a dad and a brother and a golden retreiver.
thats all.

okay, so really now my parents got seperated when I was in 6th grade and they didnt get divorced until my junior year of high school. it really sucked and my dad and i didnt really ever talk or ever get along. My mom got remarried last summer so now i have a stepdad and a stepbrother and sister. my stepsister is getting married in january so my family continues to grow.
My younger brother is 18 and he is basically my best friend. He went to rehab last year and because of that i think that he is such a strong person and i admire him and respect him so much because of how he has turned his life over and stayed sober for over a year. I would do absolutely anything for the kid and i am so so glad that he's going to school up in Boulder with me this fall!
My mom and I are pretty close but only when it comes to being friends. I dont really like listening to people when they try to tell me what to do so it is just easier that way if we keep our relationship as a friendship instead of a mother-daughter kind of thing. the same thing goes with my dad. both of my parents live within 10 minutes of each other in aurora and so i am close with both of them when I am home from school.
my step family is just like extended family that sort of never leaves. its fun to be with them but at the same time everything is always such an ordeal being with the whole family which is why when I'm home I normally stay with my dad so I don't have to deal with anything because he lives alone!
After all of this, when it comes down to it I love my family, the whole family, so so much and would do anything for them..well almost anything :)
